The conference was formed in 2011 with six teams and approximately 160 athletes. It has since grown to 22 teams and over 800 athletes. Due to the growth, in 2014 the conference split into two divisions, North and South. Our team is a member of the South Division which includes the following teams...
o Beaver Dam,
o Campbellsport,
o Daniel Boone Conservation League,
o Flyway Clay Slayers,
o Fond du Lac High School,
o Hartford Conservation & Gun Club,
o Horicon Youth Trap Team,
o Kewaskum,
o Ozaukee Scholastic Shooting Sports and
o West Bend.
The season is a dual meet format in which Athletes shoot 50 targets at each dual meet and 100 targets at the conference meet which is held each year at the Wisconsin Trapshooting Association shooting facility in Rome, Wisconsin. The conference meet is a combined event (North & South) where all the KMTC teams compete to declare the overall conference champion. A link to the current conference schedule can be found below.
In addition to the opportunity to participate in the conference shooting events, the KMTC offers scholarships to senior students for post-secondary education based on good moral character, initiative, and leadership. Applications must be submitted along with an essay and a letter of recommendation. Recipients are chosen by the KMTC Board of Directors.
